Vicky Dunn
Registered Veterinary Technician
I grew up in New York and began my veterinary career in 2015 as a receptionist in North Carolina. As I advanced to a veterinary assistant, I discovered my passion for animal care. While working full-time, I pursued my education and earned my Veterinary Technician degree in 2020 from San Juan College, officially becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician after passing the VTNE.
Over the years, I’ve gained experience in general practice, emergency clinics, and surgical hospitals. I have a deep love for emergency medicine, but I also find great joy in building long-term relationships with clients—especially watching their puppies grow into healthy adults. Client education is one of my favorite aspects of the job; I believe informed pet parents are key to lifelong animal wellness.
At home, I’m surrounded by animals—three dogs, three cats, and two tanks full of fish. When I’m not in scrubs, I enjoy quality time with my husband and two kids. As a family, we love to travel and spend as much time as possible swimming in any body of water we can find.
